Located on Commonwealth Ave, Legion Brewing has got some great atmosphere. With 13 different beers on tap, Legion has something that fits a lot of different taste palettes. Running on a motto friendship, Legion’s “goal is to be a constant uniting force of community and great beer here in Plaza Midwood and the greater Charlotte, NC area.” Check out their website here.
Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery
A chain with locations all over the United States, this Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery is located on N. Tryon St. With six house made beers on tap, Rock Bottom’s restaurant also has an extensive food menu to boot. Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop
Part beer shop and part beer garden, Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop combines the best of both worlds. In the tasting room you can grab a pint of one of the 36 rotating taps all locally made in North Carolina. In the growler shop, fill up one of two sized growlers (64 oz and 32 oz) with your beer of choice. Heist Brewery really prides itself on its “twisted american cuisine and award winning hand crafted beers.” Located in the heart of NoDa, The Heist has a rustic feel and a spacious open floor plan. With two levels the brewery offers a “Belgian centric brewpub” feel. The Heist also offer Lunch, Dinner and Brunch options as well as a cocktail list to die for. Wooden Robot, located in Charlotte’s Southend, recently opened and has made a splash on the craft beer scene in charlotte. With co-owner Dan receiving a degree in Brewing and Distilling the beers at Wooden Robot intrigue the palette. Located on Hawkins St. Sycamore Brewing company has an interesting layout. With half of the facility being the taproom, the other half is the production site, which can be viewed through large glass windows at the bar. NoDa Brewing Company
NoDa Brewing is a chilll microbrewery with locations on Tryon St. and N. Davidson (although this location is temporarily closed). With the drive to brew only beers of the highest standards, every batch at NoDa is treated the same attention to detail. Birdsong Brewing Co 4.6
Incepted in 2011 with a brand new taproom opening in 2015, Birdsong Brewing company was the brainchild of a few folks who who thought Charlotte was missing that neighborhood brewery. A place where people could stop by to top up their growlers with “super-fresh, unfiltered, American-style ale.” Check out their limited release line. Sugar Creek Brewing
Sugar Creek Brewing Company is bringing Belgian-inspired beer to the Carolinas and beyond.” Describing their beer as “immensely satisfying and intensely drinkable” Sugar Creek has beers ranging from a Belgian Dubbel to a Biére de Garde.
